Sui Connect event in Bangkok, November 12

The Ethereum Foundation said no to clashing side events. So crypto is hosting 700 of them.

Although the Foundation privately reached out to event organizers to move their event to a non-clashing time, their plan to have everyone attend only Devcon didn’t exactly work out.

Outside of the EVM crowd, we are seeing huge participation from the Bitcoin and Solana communities as well, with multi-day hacker houses and full day conferences.

Events are also getting more creative. There are Night Market walks, running clubs, go-karting, rooftop yoga, chess, padel, “dating show”, you name it. Gone are the days of basic panels and happy hours.

“Have you ever developed a crush on your employee?”

We’ve been asking people to submit spicy or entrepreneurship related questions for our panelist Founders for our upcoming event. Some are so good we can’t wait to ask them.

To celebrate, here are some anononymous confessions from our community:

  • A bunch of us have multiple Telegram & Twitter accounts so we can shill and watch what others say about our project.

  • “When someone leaves one tick in Telegram, they read your message, they just didn’t prioritize you. Invite them to a private dinner and they’ll likely respond, because nobody wants to FOMO.”

  • Event organizers approve female names for diversity’s sake. So if you don’t have the right connections, just change your name to a female sounding one to get approved.

If you want to send a founder to speak or to sponsor this event, respond to this email :-)

If you’d like to attend, RSVP here.

Lastly, we’re also hosting a Thai cultural dinner and hired traditional Thai dancers to come perform 2 dances.

Enjoy Devcon and stay SAFU 🙏
