February is a big month for the EVM ecosystem: Berachain’s mainnet launch, Monad and MegaETH’s testnet rollouts, and progress on Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade.

Alongside big launches, ecosystem-led, incentive-rich hackathons are now in abundance:

• Monad’s first-ever hackathon starts at ETHDenver, where winners continue on to an all-expenses paid Builder Residency Program in NYC 🇺🇸 

• Scroll has kicked off an online hackathon where winning teams join a fully paid 8-week retreat in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾

• World is sending 10 winning teams from their hackathon to an all-expenses-paid, 8-day trip to Buenos Aires 🇦🇷 

Goes without saying that winners also receive cash prizes, guidance from top mentors and introductions to VCs.

TLDR; Ecosystems will spend more and go above and beyond to find qualifying devs from anywhere.

Crypto Consumer Social - not yet mainstream but WIP

• Base announced that it’s bringing Farcaster feeds directly into Coinbase Wallet. Developers can now tap into over 800,000 Ethereum wallets on Farcaster—and millions of Coinbase Wallet users. 

• Best way to learn more about both ecosystems will be at Farcon. Tickets are live and not so easy to get.

A: No. New city, fewer venues, and higher rental costs. Our concierge for companies is now open and we’re limiting this event setup as a service for up to 10 companies.
